Manufacture and Packing
Technikon offers the following contract manufacturing services:
- Encapsulation of size 1, 0 and 00 hard gelatin and vegi capsules on 3 automatic lines capable of producing 2 000 000 capsules / day.
- Tableting by direct compression on a 20 station press capable of producing 400 000 tablets / day
- Blistering of tablets / capsules, soft gels in PVC & Aluminum Foil blisters, on one of 6 blister lines. 5 of the lines are automated high speed lines capable of producing 100 blisters / minute. One of the lines is capable of print registration and multi tablet blistering (eg. race-track oral contraceptives).
- Cartoning on 4 semi-automatic and 2 automatic cartoners
- Blending of powders in a 1 ton Nautamix conical blender or a 1 ton cube blender
- Liquid sachets
- Towlette liquid sachets
- Flow-wrapping and shrink-wrapping
- Form-fill-seal sachets
- Aerosol manufacture (topical pharmaceutical grade)
- Creams, ointments, liquids – mixed in tanks and filled on 4 head gear pump lines
- Tablet counting into containers and sachets
- Manufacturing and filling of Zip lock bags
- Liquid filling
